Quite an addicting game. In this game you can turn into a Zora and Goron using masks that you can get and find. Using many masks you can get all kinds of powerups.
The story is quite interesting. But there's a lot of button pressing in this game, especially at the introduction but thats o.k.
This is one of the best games I ever got! Normally, the legend of zelda games are fun. And they keep getting better!
Great game!
4/5 or 8/10
My only complaint is that you cant make yourself jump! And that really sucks.Sometimes you may have trouble saving, but if you're used to the games you'll catch on quickly
One more thing to say: My recommeddation is that before you play this you should already know quite a bit of Legend of Zelda. PLEASE DOWNLOAD! ITS WORTH IT!!!!!!

Personally, I think this game is better than OoT. The storyline is more complex and a bit hard to figure out. It’s a darker Legend of Zelda game with a ‘positive’ message.
The game play stood out more than any other N64 game I’ve played because of being able to use masks with its own abilities, etc.
The only thing that was a bit annoying was the time limit of “three” days, which is actually about an hour or so.
If you’ve played it once, play it again.
If you’ve never played it, you should.

Prepare to fall into Termina, a twisted parallel world where misfortune is prevalent, and a terrifying moon threatens to consume all. The Mask Salesman, a very buzy fellow, coincidentally, also requires you to retrieve his mask. But only seventy-two hours remain - be sure to return it before your time is up.
A vibrant, artistic, emotional, mysterious title with exceptional gameplay variation, incredible scope, and sheer depth of imagination.

The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask is not a typical Zelda game, which is basically a very upbeat game that has a default story line: Become hero, save princess, game over, with of course details in each area.
Majora's Mask is a game that is "outside the box", in a way that it is not afraid to be different than other games. The mere concept of Majora's Mask is to make the player frustrated until the very end, when they know they have actually just saved the world from utter destruction.
You are given 3 days to save the world. You have an unlimited amount's of a "Go back to Start" style card (Ocarina using Song of Time), that allows you to restart at the beginning. The downside to this is that you lose all your items and rupee's, such as arrows, bombs, deku nuts, and things of that nature.
There are 4 Dungeon levels, each one more twisted than the next, and requiring complex puzzles to be mastered, and the use of your masks you obtain, more specifically, the 3 shape shifting masks.
The townspeople are also different, in the way that we can see their personalities unfold unlike in Ocarina of Time. This is allowed because the programmers only had to program in 3 "day's" worth of information. Each day, something new (or old if you've done it several times) is happening. Characters can be interacted with more specifically, and even one of the side quests relies specifically on this.
The mood of Majora's Mask is a dark one indeed, even at the start, Link himself seems to be sad about something. You yourself will find yourself discouraged time and time again, but that feeling of achieving something just feels amazing. You will thank yourself for playing this amazing title. Unfortunately, there will probably never be a game as deep and dark as this game again.

After saving the Kingdom of Hyrule and returning the Master Sword to its place of rest, you find yourself Epona-less in the parallel Land of Termina. With some familiar faces, foes, and everyones favorite travelling Mask Salesman, you learn of Terminas impending DOOM!!! The Skull Kid has gotten ahold of a very evil and dangerous mask, and being under its control has cursed the Moon. With three days left before the world is crushed by the Moon, you must release Spirits from the four Temples, while collecting masks along the way to aide you in your journey. Some will say this is OoT with a face-lift, I say NAY!!! With a more involved, darker, emotional storyline, and new puzzles (for instance, a Temple that must constantly be turned upside-down, and rightside-up to complete), you will surely enjoy this installment of one of our favorite, and oldest Franchises. Game on!!!

It's direct ancestor, Ocarina of Time, is considered by the gaming industry and community at large nothing less than a masterpiece, a timeless classic, a game that influenced all subsequent. The adulation for Ocarina was heavy, and deserved, but with it came expectations, and presumptions.
The majority of fans were focused upon Ocarina's tradtional storyline, and expected a direct continuation. Instead, Nintendo produced Majora's Mask, highly acclaimed, yet under-appreciated in comparison to Ocarina's mass enjoyment. What I describe here, and other reasons, such as the focused gameplay structure, appeared to dampen enthusiasm for Majora's Mask - and not entirely without reason. Be aware, this game simply may not appeal to you.
The setting for Majora's Mask is Termina, a twisted world connected, yet seperate from Hyrule. In classic Zelda fashion, Termina is in danger, threatened to be crushed under the girth of a falling moon. Link enters this world as an outsider, unaware and seemingly brused aside by it's inhabitants. From the outset, Termina is intended to seem otherworldly, and daunting.
The core of the game reamins the same. Exploration, mild puzzle solving, various enemies and unique challenges, with the core task of investigating and overcoming four distinct dungeon enviroments. To prevent Termina and it's inhabitants from being obiterated, you must traverse towers, oceans, mountains and even time. Most importantly, however, you must lift Termina's people from their own personal despair. Actively, you must help others.
This is where Majora's Mask differs from Ocarina of Time. The latter is an exceptional title and a great piece of fantasy, but the former, Majora's Mask, outstrips it in that regard. Majora's Mask creates a living, breathing world, with challenges that dynamically change over time and a well of emotive content.
Play Majora's Mask to completion and you will understand that it was made in a time of periodic success for the franchise, a time in which I believe Nintendo created something that they truly wanted to make. Majora's Mask plays well, and ultimately conveys a story worth your time.
