Lost at sea after escaping the Carnival of the Damned, Guybrush Threepwood finds himself drifting towards Puerto Pollo... and another pirate attack: His archenemy, the zombie Pirate LeChuck, attacks the island in hopes of capturing governer Elaine Marley and making her his bride.
After foiling the cadaver's plot, Guybrush proposes to Elaine only to find one serious oversight- the ring he offered has a Voodoo curse- one that's turned Elaine into a solid gold statue! Guybrush must now scour the seas in search of a cure, but he must be wary- for it is on this quest that the mighty pirate is foretold to die....
