Grandia 2 is spectacular. The magic effects are brilliant especially Millenias special spells. As one of the few rpgs for the Dreamcast, it did very well having being ported to PC and to the PS2. The game itself is pretty linear without any real "sidequests" the game nonetheless delivers a fairly decent play experience. Just try to ignore the voice acting and you'll be alright.

If you ever wondered which system was superior, this game answers the question resoundedly. Grandia II, a game that I consider to be one of the best RPGs of all time, was MUCH MUCH BETTER on the Dreamcast than it was on the Playstation 2. The characters are more fluid, the graphics are much cleaner and even the music was better on the Dreamcast than it was on the Playstation 2. Ryudo has become one of my favorite Jrpg characters of all time, and that is quite a compliment coming from a Phantasy Star fanboy. Do yourself a favor, play this game. See why many Sega fanboys are still crying over the demise of Sega's greatest console. Grandia II, without a doubt, has shown me at least that the Dreamcast is a superior console. Maybe Ryudo should have used the sky dragon against Sony instead.... just a thought.
