Skies of Arcadia was never a hit on DreamCast, though it did achieve some recognition as a GameCube title.
The premise of the story is that you are a the son of a pirate who lives on an island in the sky. There are ships that can fly in the "oceans," and you eventually take command of your own ship, which adds many more challenges and cool things to do. The game is just amazing.
Personally, I think that this game is at least as good as some other classic RPGs, (As good as Final Fantasy VII, guys) even though it was never a very big title. Easy to learn, and incredibly fun the entire time. During the 150 hours of my life I wasted playing this game, I never once got bored. Frustrated, yes. But with so many different things to do, its impossible to stop playing until you're done. Even the NPC's are in-depth, with their dialogues changing along with events in the storyline.
Download and love. Because this game is brilliant.

Skies of Arcadia, along with several other RPGs on the Dreamcast is just plain awesome. From beginning to end, I truly enjoyed the antics of Vize and the gang. Guaranteed to not bore you, you will find out that it is very cool to become an air pirate. It is a shame that this game suffered from the media blitz that the Playstation 2 launched against the Dreamcast, causing it's eventual and final demise. A testament to a superior system, I recommend that you all download and play the title that should have been used by SOA to keep the console afloat.... instead of Shenmue.... what were they thinking?
