Driver (U)

Driver brought a unique concept to the Sony Playstation. The game ofcourse has to do with driving around a car, but not just any car, and not just under any circumstances. You are Tanner, an undercover policeman who is also an ex-racecar driver. You've been sent undercover to investigate one of the most dangerous organisations in the world. Your mission -- to drive out of heists that are pulled off now and then.

The game starts with you being in Miami, but before you begin you have to pass a pretty tough driver's test. Prepare yourselves for doing some 180, and 360 degree manoeuvres. Eventually, you move onto San Francisco, LA and then New York.

Driver has a few different modes including a free-ride mode which allows you to cruise around your city of choice. The sound and music is reminiscent of 70's funk and succeed quite well in giving you a decent "shady-underwordly" feeling.

All in all, Driver is a title that's pretty awesome and has spawned an entire generation of sequels, follow-ups and knockoffs. This is where it all began.
