It's time to post some news, so here are some of the games you are going to find in the new batch of PSX games uploaded by Koutsomoura, Maya_Amano, Tanthias and volgame to our Upload Services subforum, a big thanks to all you gals and guys!:

• Policenauts (NTSC-J), another masterpiece by the genius Kojima.
  
• Legend of Mana (PAL), Square continues the Mana series with another good RPG game.
  
• Oddworld - Abe's Oddyssee (NTSC-U), the start of this ingenious series.
  
• Countdown Vampires (NTSC-U), give it a try if you like horror games.
  
• Vandal Hearts (NTSC-U), one of the best Strategy-RPG ever made and one of my personal favorites
  
• Monkey Hero (PAL), a Zelda clone game.
  
• Armored Core (PAL), the first one in the franchise, still a great game.

Some of our visitors may have noticed that the Bittorrent tracker and the New Releases section was offline for the last couple of days. This was due to a problem in the server hosting them. The server's hard drive had developed bad sectors and thus we had to replace the hard disk. Our host has done the needful and all services are now back online.

Also, after a long hiatus I am now back with a decent internet connection (screw hostel internet..) so now you can expect some solid updates coming from us. It's been awhile folks, good to be back =)

Here is the long overdue update to @ES (Beta 4), check below for the details for it!!

NEW FEATURES INCLUDE

* Fullscreen mode (Won't work for PJ64 though in the update as it is harder to add for PJ64 then originally thought, but will be added at a later time!)
* Fullscreen Video mode.
* Volume knob in Video controls(Ctrl+W to show the menu, Ctrl+E to hide the emu)
* Ctrl+F = Switch to fullscreen. (Won't work with PJ64 though yet!) It will be done though a bit later for certain!!
* Ctrl+D = Switch back to @ES screen
* NESTOPIA support (Works perfectly!)
* ZIP File support for all emu's that can use zipped roms
* CRC check for rom covers (Works for all cartridge based consoles)
* Arcade emu's can now use the titlescreen packs that mame has available for download.
* Bug fixes in the Audio/Video and Games menu which caused @ES to crash sometimes.
* No more menu flickering in Windows XP!!!
* Full Media keys support.
* MSN Scrolling text (What your playing now text)
* MSN display the game name and the game icon while playing

Missing feature for another 24 hrs below

* Easy setup of Emu's (Click on a rom and if the Emu is not set-up in the settings file then @ES will open a common dialog so you can add the exe)

Due to some unforeseen bug issues the easy set-up feature is not included in this release (Will be included as soon as the bugs for it are ironed out)

The Official @ES web-site is being built as we speak, @ruantec Entertainment Corner, if people want to see the progress!

Today we want to present you some of the best survival horror games appeared for the Sony Playstation 2 console. We have Silent Hill 2 - Director's Cut (NTSC-U), which includes the extra mission "Born from a Wish" only included in this version of the game; Silent Hill 3 (PAL), continuing this franchise; Resident Evil 4 (PAL), oriented to the action, it's still a masterpiece; Cold Fear (PAL), a solid game that you should not miss if you enjoy the genre; and Zombie Hunters 2 (PAL), just in case you want to kill even more zombies

And that's not all, we have something for the 3D fighting games fans too, I'm sure they'll be happy to see links to grab Tekken 5 (PAL) and Soul Calibur 3 (PAL)

Zet has uploaded a nice pile, Silent Hill Origins, God of War 2, Gran Turismo 4, Grandia 2 and Nights Into Dreams (which was never released in English ). Munkibowl has posted Mana Khemia, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and Disgaea 2. Maya_Amano added Lumines Plus and Gitaroo Man. Pepperor gave us some Japanese games that will likely never see English releases, Kujibiki Unbalance and Rozen Maiden Gebetgarten. I even posted some games myself

That's just a sampling of the regular postings, we've got everything from PSP games down to Saturn stuff. And if you see something we don't have, new uploaders are always welcome! Do check it out

Our very own shadow1204 and @ruantec have developed a brand new frontend. It's compatible with just about all your favourite emulators and features some really cool ideas, the most prominent of which is a unique coverflow-style interface. Definitely check it out!

It is no longer possible to keep emuparadise.org running due to consistant server failures and extreme financial constraints. I no longer have the time, money or will to maintain this site. Forum activity is way down, the ads don't even cover half the server costs, and my wallet is dry due to university. I also do not have the time to fix the constant server problems we are experiencing.

We apologize for this sudden closure, but once again it is currently impossible to maintain emuparadise in this current state. Effective March 30th, the forums will be closed due to nonpayment. On April 15th the main site and bittorrent tracker will also be closed.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your support.

UPDATE: The truth exposed: Yeah, as some of you guessed, this was part of our April Fools prank. We want to apologize for the downtimes and any other inconvenience our loyal members have been suffering, AND we want to say THANKS for all the kind words we've reading in the comments to this new, we know you gals and guys are there supporting us, we are proud of having such an awesome community, the engine that moves Emuparadise everyday, it wouldn't be possible without all of you ;)

So, yeah, go tell all your friends that this is NOT the end and let me make good use of this chance to invite you all to register at our forums if you need computer or emulation assistance, if you want to request a game or if you only want to talk about random things
