How I arrived
here-
I originally came
into gaming when my Dad bought my sister a GameBoy. Being the pesky little brother
I was I ended up playing it a lot more than her. In any case the GameBoy had
one game in particular that kept me playing it: Final Fantasy Legend. I was
too young at the time to actually understand how to play it, and I always ended
up getting myself repeatedly slaughtered on one of the bosses, but this game
quickly became one of my favorites. So much so that I went out of my way to
get Final Fantasy Legend 2, 3, and Adventure when they came out.
As time passed
I ended up breaking my GameBoy, twice, and losing most of my collection of GB
games, including the ever so prized Final Fantasies. By that point I'd become
a bit jaded about buying yet another GameBoy and possibly losing my games again
(memory isn't my strong point, believe it or not). Luckily around that time
I learned of emulation and went on a quest to find the Mecca of Emulation. The
journey was long and perilous, filled with many phantom websites and countless
deviant pop-ups, but eventually I arrived at EmuParadise.org. Lo and behold,
they had these games and more!
But while the GB
games are what brought me here, it's the soundtracks that really made me stay.
I've always been a fan of the music in the Final Fantasy games, and when I learned
that there was quite a collection of it here I decided to stick around. =) I
lurked on the message boards for a few months before finally deciding that I
really liked this site and could make a contribution. And that's when I made
the offer to host files for EmuParadise.org. The rest, as they say, is history.
