Web-based MSN Messenger
For those of you who like using MSN Messenger but aren't able to use it at school, work, or elsewhere because of the installation, you'll be glad to hear that MS is working on a web-based version of Messenger. It's still in beta but it's pretty functional at the moment. Here it is:

thats pretty kick ass although i dont have to worry about that because i dont go to school nor do i work lol
-
Nicely done, <b>Microsoft</b>! Way to make sure that no more kids are going to be paying attention during their computer classes, or any class that involved any access to a computer at all. w00tah!!
-
AIM, Yahoo, and other clients have had it for quite a while now. The only real surprise is that it took Microsoft this long to copy them.
-
School computers have MSN by default here. It's because Sweden > FOTO > *.
-
My school won't allow MSN use, they say it can lead to bad naughty things. Theres a Java Script version as well, for those interested. Ill edit the site in when I find it again...
-
My school's a bitch. We can't do anything at all during computer class. I swear, you alwaysa have a teacher right behind your back, prying at exactly what you are doing. If you are caught at hotmail, you'd probably get suspended from the lab for the rest of the year.
oh yeah, and thanks Maison for the link. I can finally use MSN on public computers or at people's houses who don't have MSN. :)
-
Pfft, i'd rather use this than the program based MSN Messenger, in fact, i will.
I win.
-
I never knew there was a web based yahoo messenger...I don't really use it much, but that's still cool.
-
Woa, this is cool. I'm on it now.
-
nice
atleast your schools have web access
my school didnt we were taught diffrent office progs
but some of us learned some vb there
-
this will be good. at my school, especially in our big library, we can use internet and stuff freely to an extent. i can use my Yafro and stuff there, as well as instant messaging.
i kinda like MSN better than AOL, mainly because of more options they give you (changing your naem constantly, profile pictures, etc.).
-
Thanks for that Maison. I'll have to see how well it works.
-
Using it now, it's ok, but it reloads the message box down the bottom every time you send a message. I suppose its not to bad considering I'm on 10Mb/s internet at the moment...

yay! now i can go on msn from my dad's work comp
