I'd definately agree with you there. Sadly, I didn't care for The Time of the Oath too much. I don't know, it might have been the copy that I had, but it didn't really have a very clear sound to it; sounded a little distorted and staticy, and the vocals didn't stand out enough over the instruments.Quote:

You need Keepers of the Seven Keys Part 1 and 2 if you don't have them already. Awesome to the max, yo (mackashackaflow!).
Masterplan - Heroes
Mix one of my favourite vocalists (Jrn Lande (Jorn, Ark)) with a few members from one of my favourite bands (Helloween), and you get Masterplan. This song reminds me of Stratovarius.
edit: Is it me, or does Michael fucking KISKE sing together with Lande in this song?!!?!?? *checks Google*
edit2: My Kiske-sense did not fail me at all. R0xx0r!
edit3: Whoa... Janne Warman from Children of Bodom plays keyboards, awesome.
I'll have to check those out.
Slipknot - Pulse of the Maggots
What can I say? I love this song. It's just great to the max. Apparently when things are uberly good, they are "to the max!" It's time for "Extreme Sitting On Your Ass!"
"We fight 'cause no one can fight us
We live 'cause no one can stop us
We pull when we're pushed too far
The advantage is, the bottom line is
We never had to fight in the first place
We only had to spit back in their face
We won't walk alone any longer
What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger."
You have to, if you don't, you will die.Quote:

It does fit the song rather well. I do have that CD, and it r0x0rs my metaphorical b0x0rs. I can't listen to it as much as I can listen to the original by Bowie, however. I don't know why, it just doesn't seem right without Bowie behind it.
Symphony X - The Odyssey
................................I like this. I like this a lot.
Manic Street Preachers - 'Lifeblood' album
Better than 'Know your enemy' (which I also liked). Fave songs on this one are 'Love of Richard Nixon' and 'Empty Souls'
Soulfly - Jumpdafuckup
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. And ha.
"Jumpdafuckup!
Muthafucka u don't understand
all my hate!
Muthafucka u don't understand
all my rage!
Muthafucka u don't understand
all my pain!
Muthafucka u don't understand...
You seem to sever all my frequencies
I'm tethered to your energies
And everything turns inside out"
Need I say more? Because I shall.
"What the fuck, I'm a Mack truck"
Replacing it with good music... now.
Vibrators - Stiff Little Fingers
From which the band Stiff Little Fingers obviously took their name, putting me in the mood for an Alternative Ulster...
Rush - 2112
Holy soddomites on toast, I need to listen to more prog. Next stop, Pink Floyd...
Kalmah - Heroes To Us
Antti Kokko \m/
*Deathroll
Manowar - Call to Arms
Hell fucking yes, I forgot how awesome "Warriors of the World" was (yes, I liked it). WE WILL FIGHT FOR THE KINGDOM!
Fighting with steel! Kill all of them, their blood is our seal!Quote:

Forefather - Fifeldor
These guys like to call their style "Anglo-Saxon Metal", and I can clearly see why. Those little viking-ish melodies fit in very nicely. The singing is pretty cool too, nice and epic... but on some other songs they use a black metal-ish rasp. Highly reccomended to anyone who has never listened to viking metal before.
Hey, along a similar vein...
Luca Turilli - Kings of the Nordic Twilight
I'm pretty sure this is fantasy metal. Fun stuff.
Just listened to that song, but I must say that Forefather sounds nothing like that. Luca Turilli is (cheesy) symphonicpower metal, and it's lyrical themes are about fantasy(not bad IMO). Forefather is more about old English history and Anglo-Saxon culture or whatever, and the genre sounds a whole lot like black metal except for the singing, which is mostly clean vocals. Speaking of which...
Forefather - The Fighting Man
Everything about this song is so cool except for the main verse... it just sounds so lame! "The Figh...ting.... Ma-....aaaa-....aaan"... :/ They must've ran out of fancy lyrics on this song, they should've saved all the good stuff for the main verse. :P
One complaint I have about the band is that they don't have a drummer, but rather they use a drum-machine for recordings(much like what Finntroll did when they started, only this band already has 4 albums). I sure hope these 2 guys(brothers by the way) form a full band soon so they can go on tour and shit. The same goes for Arsis. :)
By the way, I hear that Luca Turilli's 2nd album was much better, so check that one out while you're at it. :)
