Oh i dont think a game shark will work we have tried with one of those and a Code breaker and no luck.. thats why i resorted to taken it apart.

Yeah, it will bud. That's how I do it. Pay attention. PSOne Gameshark is used to load PSOne games.

OK I got the GS Lite today - now what do I do with it?

I tried putting it in, boots up and do start game without codes then put in the Rom cd and doesnt boot.

So do I need the swap card now? Or is their another way I can do this? THX!

OK I got the slide card and the ps one GS - I have all the tools, now can someone explain step by step what I need to do? Starting from putting the cd in and when I should do the slide card etc.. thank you!!

Step 1. Load Gameshark.

Step 2. Once you've got the Gameshark loaded, select "Start Game Without Codes".

Step 3. When it prompts you to open the tray and replace the Gameshark with your disk, use your slide card to open your system. You should be able to find step-by-step directions on how to do so on the web rather easily, if you aren't already aware of how to use it.

Step 4. Once you've opened the system, replace the Gameshark with your copy of IMBN, and then use the slide card to close your system.

Step 5. Press X twice, and the game should start. The screen may bo black for awhile. This is normal. It takes awhile for games to boot using this method, but once they do, they'll work flawlessly. Doing this, you should be able to play the latest version of IMBN! Enjoy!

I got the top part of the tray off now where do I put the slide card in to take it out?

Um...well, actually, what you do after putting the top back on, because you're not supposed to remove it, is...

Slide Card Prep:

1. Open your PS2's drive door, and then power off by pressing the switch on the back of the system. This leaves the drive door open so you can peform the next step.

2. Remove the little face-plate on the drive door with the Playstation logo. It comes off rather easily.

3. Power back on, and close the door.

Now, with the face-plate off, you'll be ready to use the slide the card.

Using the Slide Card:

Step 1. Place your Gameshark into the system and power it on. Go through the process previously outlined, and when you get to the part where you're asked to "Start Game Without Codes", get your slide card ready.

Step 2. Now, with the hole facing to the right, slide the card into the gap left after you removed the face-plate. Slide it from the extreme left to the right, and you should feel it catch and the door will open a bit. Holding the card in place, you'll then want to slowly pull forward, fully opening the door. Once it's open, place your burned PSOne game in, and then push the drive closed.

Step 3. Take your card, with the hole still facing to the right, and slide it in until you feel it catch. Then move the card from the right to the left, thus closing the drive. Press X twice, and you're good to go!!

And again, at no time do you need to remove the top of your system. Put that back, right away! And be careful, as you can damage the ribbon-cable, leading to a screwed up system...
