    PC Version:
    - Higher res graphics, more defined character models
    - Crappy Midi music. Mostly a non-issue, except that there are no vocals for One-Winged Angel, which that song desperately needs.

    PSX Version:
    - synthesized music, much higher quality, with vocalized version of One-Winged Angel
    - grainy, low-res graphics.

There's also a hack for the PC version that allows it to play the PSX music, so that pretty much clears up all its problems. I can't get it to work on my comp though . Apparently it does work though, others have had more success than I have.

I think Zophar's Doman had something that would make the music sound better.

I dont think you can get the PSX music to play without actually having the PSX version, unless the hack enabled you to play downloaded Mp3's of the PSX music..

It doesn't, it uses a plugin for winamp though.
    It uses minipsf files.
It's not that hard to get it to work if you know what to do
And it's not 100% finished either I think, but it works just fine except for one or two locations in the game
I can't get into the homepage either so it seems to be cancelled.....and the forums won't allow me to upload the file in a post since it's too large

In my experience, the PC ports of the final fantasy games are very weak and the graphics are actually worse that the ps1 even with the options all set at max.
Its not an issue with my pc either, my friends that have tryed it have the same thing. Its a crap port.

I would strongly reccomend getting the PS1 version. Especially if you have a decent PC and emulate it with ePSXe or something almost as good.

that is simply bogus I'm afraid
I have tested both the psx version of FF7 on an actual psx and the pc version.
And the graphics are much better on the pc, as said the only thing that you can say about the pc version is the music, but with the hack that goes from midi music to the good music like that on the psx version
But in graphics the pc version IS better

Well the pre-rendered background looks shit on pc. That's probably what he means. But the polygon models looks much sharper.
