But they can get an even better way of life if you have capitalism. The point is that not everyone is going to work because some people are just lazy. Sure communism would be nice if every single person had a million dollars and humans were perfect or robots but since neither would happen communism wouldn't work.

So your point is invalid, and I still claim the right to critisize capitalism, even though I've never lived in a communist country. Btw- my country does have a very influential leftist party, so I'm not oblivious to the survival of communism.

Name one person alive right now that is perfect? You can't? well I'm sorry but the whole world would have to be perfect for communism to work. People are motivated by self interest whether they believe it or not. Until i see one of you communists give away everything you have for the good of your country, you will just be a bunch of liars. Sorry to tell you the truth but someone has to. And at least there is proof that capitalism works where in communism there is none. I believe it's already been established you don't need to be perfect for communism to work. Given that people have already shown it has worked for a period of time before.

People motivated by self interest...I didn't know you have spent your life studying humans, or asked every single one of them what motivates them. I can tell you there are many much stronger motivations than self interest.

But the thing is, I would still have stuff to use, and food to eat. That's not the case in a capitalist society. Your arguments are getting worse by the hour.

When has communism not ended in total disaster? You would have the same amount of stuff, nope because if you lived under a poor communist country you would have very little. Proof that capitalism works, modern day US, UK, Japan, and many other nations. By works i mean it gives the best chance for people to have a better life. That is why the US is called the land of oppurtunity. If the power is given to a few the chances of corruption are huge. How can you be so sure that you would like it when you haven't lived under communism? Answer that please after all the history of communism being total disaster and everything. Name a stronger motivation than self interest. I know you can't.

It hasn't ended well, but as said before, it did work with I believe when Lenin was in charge. For one, yeah, it hasn't been implemented as properly as it should, but there's only one way to fix that.

Proof...hmm, for some reason I thought that it took a lot more to prove something. You actually proved nothing. Gives the best chance for people to have a better life...no it doesn't. If I recall correctly, the richest 256 people have as much as the poorest 3 billion. That doesn't seem just a little bit off to you? Capitalism is a society run by giant corporations. They run the government (almost all politicians are businessmen) and they run the media. Our whole lives are dictated to us by a few corporate giants. If you wanna talk about power in the hands of few, you've got it right now.

The US is not really a land of opportunity. I don't think that immigrants who come here do particularly well being stuck with construction and fast food jobs... However there are plenty of opportunities for those born wealthy, such as you and I.

Why would communism have power in the hands of few? Remember that communism doesn't mean it has a dictatorship. I actually see a lot more having a say because it won't be a few corporate giants...

I can't be sure, but I know I'd much rather be working for a community and actually to help everyone else survive rather than working so Bill gates can get just a few more million dollars...

A stronger motivation than self interest, ha! That almost cracks me up. What kind of life is caring only about yourself? How about the interest in people you love, your friends, family, to be safe? Or maybe an interest for peace in the world? How about an interest in equality, that millions wouldn't starve all over the world? I'd definately give up my computer, house, and what else not if everyone else would do the same and stop millions from dying every day.
