    Default Problems with laptop

I would like too keep my laptop turned on at all times like a pc. (No moniter turnoff or hard disk turn off etc...) So I go to control panel then power options and set the setting =s and apply....But the problem is every time I restart it switches back to the old scheme...any idea how to stop this...I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GR250 with XP and 256 ram... Thanks

Try changing your settings, then hit the 'save as....' button to make a new scheme, name it and save it. Or try switching it to 'always on'. Hope this helps, although you've probably tried that already, I don't own a laptop, so that's all I know. XP pro or home btw?
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

Try getting into the BIOS. Its probably set up in there to turn itself off. Press delete or F2 to get in, if not one of those buttons, it should tell you when the computer boots up.
