    Default Dream Theater - Octavarium

I'm surprised we haven't had a thread about this yet, but it looks like we have yet another kick arse album on our hands courtsey of the DT boys. I loved the direction they took with 2003's 'Train of Thought' and am glad that they seem to be continuing along this path. The 24 minute title track is awesomeness squared, 'Panic Attack' sounds like an 'Awake' out-take, and 'Root of All Evil' is just fucking ace. Discuss...

My lack of employment is preventing me from getting this at the moment, although I picked up Train Of Thought recently for $13 AU.

I have it downloaded, but have yet to listen to it. I suddenly have a conscience and have decided to buy it to listen to it. Gargh!

I've listened through it a bunch of times, and I like it (check the Music Appreciation-thread...). It grows on me for every listen, so this must be bought as soon as possible (just used my last money on Family Guy Season 3 on DVD).

DT always had been good, but now it's just getting even better.

Ocatvarium is fucking awesome. Enough said. It's no Awake, but it's close.

After 16 years, DT just continue to expand what I thought they were possible of...Great arrangements for the most part, aside from some modern rock sounding choruses here and there...The production is really crisp..playing, as always, is top notch.
