Question Grandia - Help - game skips from time to time

im a kinda newbie to PSX emulation, i just got Grandia, and got it working fine, but every 30secound it starts to skip and shudder, could this be lack of ram? im running the ISO version not CD.
    here what im using:

    epsxe 1.6.0
    video - Pete's D3D Driver 1.47
Sound - Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41

im on XP, Intel 3 and can run Ragnorok and other gd games.

    Any help will be greatfull

Make sure the FPS matches the region of the game, that game is known togo very out of sync and crash if the FPS is not set correctly this game will crash and go out of sync on actual PSX hardware aswell if it's forced to display in a region it is not ment for

The sync is noticable in scenes with speech not just FMV (That would be most of the game then :/)

Basically, if the game is NTSC (american or Japanese) you need to set the FPS to 60, if it is PAL (European) yuo need to set it to 50 FPS, you need to set it on the graphics config.

I think a bios wouldn't really be the problem, I could be wrong though.

Most probably your settings set for your video plugin.
Try using the P.E.O.p.S Software Plugin.

Well, for one thing. Integrated video sux...

As for RAM, if your 247 means 247MB of RAM, well.... WinXP is a freakin' memory hog..I'll assume you've got 256MB of RAM, with your
    shared vidRAM... ouch..

You might wanna try setting your Vid Plugin to the Fast setting...
And Give PeOPs Soft Drvier a try..like was suggested.

EDIT - what res are you trying to run it at?

It depends on what kind of integrated video you have actually.
I have an integrated chip, and it works fine with every PSX emu (and I've tried them all)

But my chip does suck at N64 emulation.

Yes, there would be a problem with the screen res.
Try using P.E.O.p.S Software Plugin v1.16 for your system using 1024x768. (It's personal preference.)
