Default EP Screenshot Of The Day!

Well, I figured it'd be nice to have a screenshot of the day showing up on the main site. So the first thing that came to mind was to ask our forum members to take screenshots of their favorite games and post them here. We need quality screenshots!

The screenshots will show up on the main website visible 200,000 times every day! Here's what you get:
    - Your screenshot featured on Emuparadise.
    - A link to your post/user profile under the screenshot.

    Guidelines for the screenshot:
    - It should be taken in an emulator.
    - The shot should be 120x90 pixels in size.
    - You can also include a bigger version of the same shot, so that our visitors can click on the smaller one to see the full sized one.
    - A single member can post more than one screenshot.
    - Shot titles should be under 20 characters.

Post your shot in this thread as an attachment. Give it a title!

Well, the rules are simple. Also, I'm doing this as a test run to see how popular other competitions would be on our forums, and I mean other competitions with REAL prizes! So be sure to give an overwhelming response.

I have an idea to compliment that.

Someone posts a screenshoy, and then other members can caption it, and submit.

That'd be cool. Though no one seems interested in posting shots yet |).

Well, I am, but posting random screenshots from a game just wouldn't cut it. So if I post anything, that'll have to be at least marginally funny.

Exactly...I've not yet thought of anything witty enough to warrant a screenshot.

    Okay, I've got one.

I don't know if you want to put further specs on the fullsize image, but I think that would be nice. You may even want to leave the caption only for the fullsize image. Furthermore, my thumbnail is pretty hard to tell anything from (but I had to follow the 75px width restriction).

    Game: CastleVania 3
    Platform: NES
    Emulator: FCE Ultra (FreeBSD)

Caption: "Trevor, leave this beast to me."

Meh, that is greatly shortened from what I wanted, and is still 31 characters.

    Caption: "This mirror is broken."

That is only 18 characters if you don't count spaces. If spaces count...I'll have my work cut out for me.

Edit: It looks like working on the caption allowed Sprung to beat me to the punch.

Nice work guys. You're right Xaenn, the 75px is really sucking. I just calculated, I can fit in 120 pixels on the right hand side of the site. So in effect, we'd need a 120x90 image to keep the aspect ratio intact. Please resize your images and attach them .

    New thumbnail size: 120x90.

Sadly due to the layout of the screen it only comes out to 103x90, but I still think it should be an improvement.
