If my PC could support it, I would. All that hype oughta be for something, it looks cool and seems to have a co-op mode and who can get enough of first-person shooters?
Edit: Seems it's a third person shooter, but what the heck?

Not that all FPSs are exactly the same, of course, but they're almost all variants on a basic formula, and it's a formula that I got tired of fairly quickly.
I don't think I'd buy Gears of War if it were released for the PC. It doesn't really interest me enough to upgrade my computer, besides which, I'll probably buy a 360 sooner or later, and Gears of War is selling so well that in a year and a bit, copies of it will be a dime a dozen. I'd rather just wait and give it a go then.
I would not buy a PC version of Gears of War. The only reason is that I never really play games on my PC. Not even emulated roms and isos. I feel much more comfortable with a controller in my hands - playing on the TV. I don't really like the possibility of my PC not being strong enough, or that the game can in fact run smoother than on my PC.
On a console, the game plays like it was intended to (I can live with weaker graphics, my favorite games are 2D SNK games) no matter what .
I meant first-person shooters with, you know, something like missions or stuff like that. Such as Unreal Tournament's different game modes and Halo's vast gameplay and story (who can forget Halo?). Though some Fps' don't need a story.
The only aspect I disliked about Halo was a particularly repetitive and annoying level.
P.S.: Please don't answer my (supposed to be) rhetoric questions

I'm just a lurker these days, I feel like an 80 year old gramps, watching his grand children play outside *sigh*
Who buys PC games these days?
no, I wouldn't because my comp can't handle any of the new games that have recently been released (damn high system reqs)
If my PC had the hardware to actually run such a game, sure, I'd obtain it. Probably for the multi-player aspect of it.
