Renzokuken (Squall's limit break) wasn't exactly a new idea, omnislash in FF7 is basically the same.

What about all the other characters like Cid? He deserves credit for staying around for so long, in whatever form.

That's the best way to conduct a poll - spell the choices wrong. Well, I guess not many people played ff5 anyways since it was released in Japanese only. Then we decided to translate it, and now it's all over the web in ROM copy.

FF2's Cecil lacked dimensionality. Terra was a good character too. Butz lacked dimensionality, probably even to a greater degree than Cecil.

Are you implying that you were personally involved in the translation of ff5?

Squaresoft later made it's own English translation, but from what I've heard it was shit in comparison to the unofficial translation of the rom .

I have to go with Cecil. He's just cool. He used to be a sort of bad guy and he became good. Plus he gets respect for wearing such a cool Paladin outfit, and has cool hair. He wields the power of light, not just a stupid sword like the others.

Most of the main characters annoy me, all of the cool characters aren't the main ones, but I'll say Cloud cos he's in FF7, and FF7 rules...

Since FF7 is my most favourite game ever i would say Cloud, but Squall is such a bad ass ...... no cloud, sticking with cloud ...... squa ..... cloud !
