Case 1, my PS2 had problems when closing the lid and it kept "open" thus not reading games, that happened in day 1, and I bought the PS2 at about 10:00 a.m., called Sony Service over here, and they told me to bring the PS2 along with the receipt. They checked it, and told me to come back in about three hours. Since it was in downtown, I bought some stuff, then I came back.

At about 3 p.m. they told me that one of the springs in the lid were broken, so they replaced my whole package, (game + system) as new. Got back at around 4:30 and it's been working awesomely since then.

Case two, my old Sony Ericcson phone died and I went again to Sony Service, "come back in two hours" blah blah, did so, and they replaced my package but asked me if there was important data in my cellphone, I said no, and I walked away with my replacement phone, since the battery connection died and it was easier to give me another phone.

So I don't know, they have been quite cool with me, but I have heard cases of people complaining about their warranty, like someone said, she CAN'T be the top position there, also, I agree with Cosmic. You gotta clean your stuff often.
That goes for nearly every company. Think about this - how many people are likely to talk about a bad customer experience, especially publicly (very often), and how many people likely talk about good experiences (hardly ever unless someone asks).

    But sony still sucks

Pics of the dusty PS3. So in the end of they day, all you should do is dust your PS3 off before you ship it in.

Only a retard would send his/her PS3 to be repaired in that condition or Sony sabotaged the console to look like that...in any case that's just wrong

    My God, what an imbecile.

I say this sums up my mind:

That thing is filthy. I stand by my comments in the original post that Sony is under no obligation to repair that unit. It has CLEARLY not been properly taken care of. Hell, it doesn't even look like it has been wiped off. Further, the vote is unfair. I don't think it constitutes a threat to the tech's health, but I also don't think Sony should repair it.

Fancy that! Looks like I was right. He obviously hasn't taken care of the console at all. Heck, you'd have thought he would at least attempt to clean the case before he sent it off. If the owner is above the age of 10 (which I doubt) then he's a moron.
