    Talking Symphony of the Night

Who here thinks sotn was the best game for psx1. I though it had good music and many cool creatures.

Not even close. There were probably 30 or 40 PSX games that were better.

It was a pretty good game, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it the best PSX game. One of the best, maybe, but not the best.

    Best? No.

Overrated? Probably. It may be considered the best Castlevania game (I dispute that, most don't) but it's not the greatest Metroid style action/platformer.

Top Tier? Certainly. It's one of the defining PSX games and probably the only 2D game to get that honour.

Greatest platformerish PSX game to me, yup.

Love Symphony of the Night. People say it's the best Castlevania game, but if you compare it to the more recent Metroidvanias, it's not a ton better. Really. At least that's what kupo says. As for PSX games in general, there's lots of games that are more entertaining than SotN.

It's good, (I like it because the gameplay is very similar to Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow), but definitely not the best psx title. That title goes to Intelligent Qube

nah,it's great, and it probably is the best 2d castlevania ever, but it's not the best psx game ever...
it's kind of impossible to name just one,but I guess it would be between ff8,fear effect, xenogears or silent hill. (I know I'm forgetting lots and lots and lots of other candidates to the "best psx game ever)
    nothing

Wouldn't say it's the best, but it sure is among my favourite PSX games. Which reminds me, I really should get to finishing the inverted castle.
