Xp to 7 printer connection error
Hi. I'm trying to connect a XP (Sp3 machine) to a shared Win7 Printer.
I've got it going on one machine, but struggling on the Other one. I've installed the drivers for the printer on the xp machine.
My problem is this: I can connect to the printer, but xp installs it as a usb001 printer port, even though it says it's on the other machine (Samsung ML2010 on Win7). Seems it's adding the win7 usb port to my xpbox.
I'm adding it as \\win7\Samsung ML-2010 Series
Any way to fix it?

Have you considered a Printer Switcher Box or USB Sharing Devices?

Ive seen them around they let 2 computers connect to 1 printer.
