Yeah that actually hasn't happened before, it just randomly started happening. Doesn't matter if I use Glide64 or GlideN64 there's rippling in the upper left quadrant of the screen and I have vsync on. Why is this happening? It's very distracting.

Have you changed any settings with your video card or to the emulator recently? Maybe installed something that could have made changes like an update? If you're the type of person who creates restore points, you could give that a try.
PJ 2.3 is a better option over 1.6 in any regard.
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I switched over to 2.3 but it's still doing it.
