I am so done with my job right now.

We need new equipment, and the head honchos say there's no room in the budget for AV stuff. They don't even know why they hired me to BE the AV guy.

This is super frustrating. Really hoping that I get this other job next week...I can't stand this place anymore. Fuck the Marriott.

Literally everything.

Speakers, Microphones, Mixers, Racks, Lights, House Speakers, etc.

What I'm worried about most are the Microphones, Speakers, and Mixers. With a few Projectors sprinkled in, but those we can rent and still make money.

We're losing a LOT of money by just renting, when we could make our money back in one day with purchasing the items we need.

What's wrong with the higher ups ?

A lot, if I'm being completely honest. We have an event coming up on Monday through Friday next week, and we rented our equipment. We're losing $1,800 or so. Doesn't help we're giving them over $3,000 worth of A/V Equipment for free, thanks to the sales guy "cutting them a deal." (But that also means I don't get my cut either, I get "tips" that are about a quarter of what the A/V costs are, so I'm getting fucked over as well).

This place is a joke, and I'm one of the lowest paid A/V Supervisors in the whole company.
