Well, I've heard of PS2's going slow, but I've never heard them going fast before...

    Need more info though, like:

Is this a recent problem, or have you always had this?
Is it for all games or just a few?
Did you just buy your PS2?
Do you have a mod-chip installed, or altered your ps2 in any other way?
Are your games original or copied?

I've never heard of anything like that happening. Hmmn. Maybe it was running sub-60FPS before due to some slow-down, and you just now noticed it running at 60FPS? I know that's a flimsy answer, but I've never heard of anyone having thier games suddenly run faster on them. I'm not saying it couldn't have happened to you, but man I don't know what to say to help you. I guess my best advice would be to wait till someone else shows up who know more about the tech side of things.

Perhaps it's because it's an imported game? Since it's only happening to this one, that would be my guess.

I dunno about that. About seventy-five percent of the games I own are Japanese and I've never run into anything like this.

Depends where he imported it from... if it was a PAL game that would explain it.

True enough. But did the Super Robot Wars games ever come out in Pal territories? I don't believe they were ever released outside of Japan. Though I could be wrong. I guess more info is needed before we can fully understand what's causing the problem.

Simple NTSC runs at a different speed to PAL athough I realy can't say it would be that noticable.

In fact it shouldn't be that noticable

I realy don't think anyone would be able to actully help you this time.

Maybe a display patch may help (Don't ask me for the proggy to do that it's a long time since I had it and can't remember what it was called now anyway) there are a few proggys that let you create display patches but I only got one to work.

I would say try on a NTSC CD rip of a DVD game to test a prog of such first, so you arn't wasting any DVD's just CD's costs less anyway
