Any tips to making it coller or more "sigworthy"? i'm pretty new at this.

Sorry Dude ,
most simplistic sig ever. just a green/black Foreground/background from the pallette , with gradient mode set to difference , you dragged the mouse a few times , put on a easy lighting effect and put on some text and a poor cut.

And that's much different from what you did, how? Forgive me, as I don't have much Photoshop/Paintshop knowledge, but your's doesnt really look like you did anything far too different from what he did. And while I know we aren't rating your sig here, it's a bit harsh to rag on his, when your's really doesn't look that much better.

As for my opinion of his sig, well, I don't think it's all that bad. I'll agree that it's a bit simplistic, but since when was simplicity a bad thing? The color is rather pleasing to the eye, and the text fits the pic rather well. The only thing I could fault it for is that he didn't integrate the character in the pic very well, because there is an obvious border around him that could've been removed with a little effort. All in all, a very decent first effort, which earns him a hearty 6/10 from me.

It's his first sig guys, give him a break. Now, I could see you guys being harsh if this wasn't his first attempt, but not everyone is adept at sig making straight outta the gate....

Try transparency stuff, but really you just need to visualise the effect you want and figure out how to do it, maby draw it on paper first, just dont copy any other styles, trry and come up with something original.
And cyber, people really weren't being that harsh.

really good for a first attempt, i couldn't do that (maybe its cause i dont have Photoshop or anything?!?) i give it a 8.5/10, it needs some work, just cleaning up, smoothing, yada yada yada blah blah blah etc etc etc. you get the idea...

I say that instead of just telling him that it's bad, try to say what he should change. He's asking people to rate it AND for tips how to make it better.
