    Default Msn

    So, I'm back from a holiday. Nice you'd say eh? Well, it was. Untill I got back. I turned on the computer, watching it booting....and then.....OMFG!!! How the hell did this happened? 1741 infected files by W32.pinfi AKA EXE-destroyer....all kind of Ad/spy-ware and the biggest thing: auto-login on my DAD'S EMAIL, who even doesn't have MSN! So, I wondered, is there a way to get that away? It's like this:

    Click here to sign in:
    {email}
    {BUTTON W/ Log On}

    So, if you click {BUTTON W/ Log On} you'll automaticly sign in the {email} that has been given. A deinstall and reinstall won't work, I just want to get that e-mail thingy thrown in the pool. I just want:

    Click here to sign in:
    {BUTTON W/ Log On}

    Right now, I'm torturing my father, teaching him not to chat on my PC in my absence. MF......

    Typically, what I'd do in this situation is a nice reformat. But you probably dont want to do that. Run Norton and any other programs that you can find till the thing is gone. Look up a patch from www.symantec.com for your virus.
    Thats all i can think of.

    Try updating Windows first for a security patch. Also try the program "Norton Stinger". It's made to get rid of W32 virii.

    Yes, actually it is. Really easy for me since all system files are on one hdd and all multimedia is on the other one.

    ...You could delete all the registry keys to it, then that mo'fo won't run it if you want it to

    Reformat is the best solution when you're running windoze...

    Then hopefully put something better on. XD

    But if you aren't going to do that, I guess anti-virus is what you can do. Perhaps figure out which processes are doing that and end them.

    And then if nothing else, reformat.

    Those popups are easy to change, you can change them by disabling "Messenger Service" via running msconfig from the run prompt.
    Or at least i think that's what it is.
