Default Doom 3 hits shelves in 2 days...

So... who'll be buying this kickass game? I sure as hell won't for now, I don't have the cash nor the comp capable of running this graphical monster. I might think about buying it once I get my other comp back, but I'll probably end up downloading it since I wouldn't care much if it had online features. In fact, I already spotted the game up for download on a BT tracker. I sure as hell will be buying HL2 though.
So, everyone's got their copy pre-ordered?

Well... yeah. I don't think there's any free game with so many millions of polygons for a single character model.
Hmm... I might consider buying a PCI video card if I can reach the bare minimum with it(and if it's not expensive) which is 64mb of VRAM, but maybe I should just wait for my other comp.

I'd wait, there minimum requirements are probably whats needed to run the game in 800 by 600 with with minimal detail.

I for one have been waiting for this game to come out for a while. I have a good enough computer, and can't wait to see how good this game looks.

No intention of buying or getting it by other means. Not sure if my PC is up to the task, I'm not very good at FPS, and let's face it, other than the graphics there's not gonna be much in it that hasn't been offered in an FPS before.

And it's also the biggest and fastest downloaded torrent I have ever seen.

I'm going to download it once I have the computer for it. High-speed internet wins forever.

I'm going to not buy it, or download it.

Most FPS don't interest me at all. (Save for Halo and The World Is Not Enough)

I will be buying it, as I support the gaming industry. I managed to get an alpha or something with a few levels a while back, and it looks awesome. It ran very smoothly on my machine, and I'm sure since then they have made several optimizations, and fixed the dynamic lighting which didn't quite work. Even if the game sucks, I won't be the least bit upset about giving up $50 (or $55 as Bestbuy wants) +tax to these guys for all the great games that they have put out that I played but never purchased, and to show support this incredible piece of technology that will be in use for years to come, the Doom3 engine.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

I completely forgot about nova If I can actually run the game well, I'll have to buy when I get some money.

I have a copy preordered. I got one of those pewter figurines of the pinkie, and I'm going to buy the mancubus off eBay sometime in the future. I can't run the game, but I'm such a DOOM fanatic that I have to have it. I've beaten every single episode -- even Thy Flesh Consumed -- on Ultra Violent. I've only been able to beat the first episode, Knee Deep In The Dead, on Nightmare.

It couldn't have come at a better time. I just finished building a new PC capable of running it. I might download it. I might buy it. I already preordered HL2. We'll see.
