please help me sega gods!!!

ok i bought a mega drive 2 today
the guy who sold it to me said its a jap md2 that also plays famicom games,
i said he was full of shit,and tested the theory
the famicom game worked

does anyone know anything about this?
its got a purple dust cover slot and has an extra funny looking control port in the middle of the regular two control ports,
and it came with a lethal weapoin light gun that fits the middle port
the power switch slides left to right instead of clicking on and off
and it feels like the console has no innards,its very light

it also plays jap mega drive games (tested with my jap zero wing) and famicom games

someone please explain this to me

I dont know if you can read the pics from the manual but its meant to be a plug for a lolololol Modem lolololol i find that funny but yeah its meant for a modem or some sort of attachment i hop eit helps if it didnt them meh im out of ideas

My first opinion would be that it's some kind of koreaon pirated system. I seen some of those that look like a playstation 1 but when you open the lid you can insert nintendo 8 bit games

lol rare aussie games we got none we get the last of EVERY FUCKING thing i think the only rare game i have seen it consturcator for PSX that was rare in aus i had to order it from EB and they had to search for it

Its either the elusive Mega Drive 3, released in Japan. I have only heard rumors of its existance, or a very heavily modded Mega Drive 2.

I have a Mega Drive 2, and It only has 2 controller ports, and plays Mega Drive and Genesis games. Nothing about Famicon, or anything like that.

I think AUS uses PAL, but thats about it.

Some of the rarest games in AUS were made in other countries. Sega Australia never made their own. I own a couple of rare games. I have 20 Games, the console, and 2 controllers, which I picked up for $150 AUS. The guy is kicking himself now though...

That extra port in the middle is a Famicom zapper port

I doubt the system is worth much or ever will be, but it's definatly a keeper for sheer coolness

i know they have a genisis 3 in the states,
its like a 3 inch by 3 inch micro unit,
i know because i got one

well i kinda got a nice collection too,
mostly shooters like gunstar heroes,zero wing,blah,blah,etc,etc
too much to list

did the master system converter come out over there(aus)?
ive only ever seen them mega drive one
but have heard of them for the megadrive 2


but i dont think im gonna play the fami mega unit,
i dont want it to catch fire
im just gonna chuck it under the bed with all the zx spectrums
