How is it not freeware? It is not 'freeware' [as such] because, it cannot be re-uploaded to other servers, or packaged with other software on CDROMs. Rockstar still owns all rights of Ownership and distribution, they are just providing a copy to you, free of chargeOriginally Posted by Josh

Ok, so its downloading. Not very fast (40kbps), but downloading nonetheless.
Funnily enough, I probably derived more fun from GTA2 than GTA3 and VC...although none of them can compete with the visceral thrills I received from the original. The 6 minute demo of GTA was probably the best demo in the world of anything ever, ever.

An optomized version of GTA2? Outstanding. Does it still have multiplayer? I just love kicking ass in that game. In my old computer programming class, we used to have LAN games of GTA2 playing every friday. I memorized where all the powerups were. I remember it got lame when someone would box himself up on the other side of a bridge, and would put a car in the way. He would camp with the rocket launcher too.
The bridge was the only way to get to him. Any ideas how to kill the guy?
