Default How Many People Still Emulate?

I'm just wondering...But how many people still emulate? Anykind of emulation from NES to XBOX. I barely do. Anybody else?

I started emulating in February 2004 (I joined here) and has doing it since then.
    Have you seen me before?

I think here is fine. And I don't. I still have an SNES emu and a few roms, but I don't bother with it anymore. I never really got into it to begin with, actually.

I mostly do Neo Geo / CPS2. It's nice to have an XBOX hooked up to a 5.1 speaker set up for this kind of thing.

But over the years, emulation was necessary to play some games in English that I could otherwise not play.

Metal Gear (MSX) - the TRUE version of the game that launched this series
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX) - an excellent follow up, sad that we never got it
SD Snatcher (MSX) - only if you're a hardcore Kojima fan.
Seiken Densetsu 3 (Super Famicom) - they took out 3 player mode! WHY?
Final Fantasy V (Super Famicom) - I prefer the original RPGe translation over Square's any day
Earthbound Zero - The final dump of the game from Nintendo is only playable with an emulator.

I don't emulate much at all, never really did...

I find it much more fun to play the real thing... don't know why, but i do.

Not as much now as I did before. I mainly emulate Genesis, cause I'm working on a major whoopass project for kicks. I couldn't find a sprite ripper for SMD files, so I'm just playing the games through, and print screening all the screenies and stealing the sprites with Photoshop...

Well not nearly as much as I did a few years ago, but I occasionally do play some arcade stuff and sometimes SNES.

While im posting to this thread, what arcade games would you guys reccomend aside from metal slug (which owns) for cps1/2 or neo geo. Oh and what emulator do you feel does the best job, so far Ive found mame and neorage to be a little annoying.

I used to, I got all the goodsets of most of the systems. Dont have N64, and I think thats the only one, besides mame. And I used to keep up with the GBA roms, Got up to 1600, then just stopped. So no, i dont emulate anymore.

I emulate SNES, GBA, N64 and PSX. Tho I do own a PSX, I still prefer playing the emulation as there are several advantages:
    - the save state feature makes it possible to save anywhere
    - the 3D graphics are much nicer with the latest plugins
    - I can control the framerate and skim through parts that I don't want to waste time on
    - no mod chip required

I still do. GBA sometimes for playing and being on the compy (looking thru e-mails and waiting for something to happen :O :O), PSX for testing isos and sometimes playing old SNES or Genesis games.
I just had a shitload of roms for nothing, that i'll never play. I know, i'm sick. :\

I emulate a ton of Square games to grab screen caps and other various icons/sprites for my website. Normally I'd rather lay on the bed and play but if I need screen for a walkthrough or a game specific layout..then I'll play through one on the computer.
