no, but I have heard of stand-alone cd(rw) towers that you can hook onto your pc.

You'll have to get two seperate enclosures.

(besides, wouldn't 2 hdd's inside one enclosure be a little too hot, without a fan?)

not ALL of them. the one I bought does not, and I left mine on for 4 hours (accidentially), and it got so hot that it burned some bad sectors into it, and now it isn't even readable... make sure yours has a fan...

can't you just put your drives inside your computer case? or do you need them to be transferable?

well i want two seperate hard drives for games so if i reformat and blah blah blah but i also PLAN on getting a laptop later and when i do that i'll sell my computer probably as a barebone and take that hd out so i'm looking for 2 hd enclosure b/c i'll get a hd now for games and stuff and then when i sell my comp or whatever or give ti to my mom and swap her hard drive in i'll have a second hard drive i could add into an enclosure so i was thinking dual enclosure ya know? It's really not a big deal if i can't find one but ti would be cool for later.

Speaking of that, should I shut my copmuter for a while? I just tried the metal case around my 2 hard discs and it is... hot, really.

Speaking of that of that, (lol) I actually have a hard drive cooler. It's a little metal plate that fits on the bottom of your hard drive, and has two fans that blow on the hdd. It keeps it extra cool, and is quiet.

and what the heck is a copmuter? a thing a cop uses to shut up the victim?
(cop-muter, get it, lol, I need to get better jokes...)

Two fans? How can I install fans to a 1 mm space? I think it is quite impossible...

Nice, but I cannot have that, because there is no space in there. That's maybe why the HDs get so hot. I just got a terrible thought: I have two HDs with just 1 mm of space between them. They both can become hot and that could result in a bad thing... but there is no space on my case to install the discs any other way.

EDIT: To keep on the original subject: If the two discs are going to be almost always together, it makes sense to have a double-enclosure thing. But how about getting two single-enclosures and "tie" them together somehow?

time to get a mid-tower case. I just bought a new one from www.newegg.com

it was good for the price. only 28 bucks for a clear sided, front ports, and 3 fans included case. that's good.

then they pull your leg on shipping.... 15 bucks for shipping, why so high?

even mid-towers have tons of space, or if you need a full tower...
