Dragon Warrior 7, I'm surprised noone mentions it, I thought it was the greatest game I've played.
Out of that list I voted ff9, was one of the only games that the end of the game was moving and impressive.
But it does IMO, beat most romances in RPGs espically FF7s.Originally Posted by Tancred

What? A video game that makes little sense? OMG. :eyeball:Originally Posted by Goshi3156

Have you never heard of the term "Love at first sight" Or is this concept alien to you?Originally Posted by Goshi3156

Im a fanboy, FF7.
People always think it's over rated because they suck so much an played it years after it got out. 1997 peeps, 1997!
Parasite Eve 2 (if i remember correctly)...dammnit the story was so horribly long to start I wonder how I could play thru that game.
Another RPG I enjoyed alot was Breath of Fire 4, this title is simply amazing if you ask me.
It seems pretty alien in RPGs at leastOriginally Posted by P. Wolvesbane
Not really, in most RPG romances you don't get all the hard to get type chatting up and chasing around that you would in real life.Originally Posted by Goshi3156
Most of the time RPG romances are pretty straight forward, you find a girl you like, she gets kidnapped, you risk your own life just to save hers, she loves you in return for saving her life, you become a couple, end of story. Or the girl you love is a party member, you end up fighting along side her for years or throughout the game, you exchange friendly gestures until the end and when you finish the game they become a couple.

It wasn't exactly like that in Bahamut Lagoon though but thats not a PSX RPG...
I've not voted as my vote goes for Final Fantasy series xP, I don't understand why there are whole series of other games and Final fantasy has been spliten to parts
Its got to be Final Fantasy VII that was the best RPG game I played on the PS1 console.
Hmm id vote for FF7 not because its the best but because it got me into RPG's and will always be one of my favies, but this is voting for the best so i say Parasite eve man that game rocked
Xenogears had the best written plot and outlining I thought. I'm sure everyone around already knows at first it wasn't going to be released in the US just for themes in it's storyline.
While I was playing RPGs before FF7, and it's the typical response, I have to vote for it because it was my definitive gaming experience on the playstation. Me and my friend played it all summer, and he missed the ending because he barfed oreo cereal all over my wall and went home.
I agree that Xenogears was fantastic, but think of how much better it could've been if they actually finished the game.
No doubt FF7. Now if they made a remake of it with enhanced gameplay to make it an almost new game. Now that would just be swell!
