Here is a chart for you people trying to figure out what video card to buy.
I also recomend looking at GPU Review Card Comparison.

Um..what benchmarks are these decided upon? Because in pretty much everything the X1800XT trounces the 7800GTX. Only the 7800 Ultra 512MB is faster XD
And in what world is the 6800 Ultra faster than the X850XTPE?

Do you guys know how to read the chart? Also it's not going by FPS just by % Gained.
The X700 doesn't "Almost" Match the 6600GT you fool. It's 600 points less in 3dmark 05.
I know how to read the chart, please don't be condecending. But put simply, the chart is wrong. In no world is the 7800GTX faster than the X1800XT, which as your chart would imply has an 18% increase in performance. I'm sorry, but that's just wrong.
And if the results are based on 3DMark I'd take that with a pretty hefty grain of salt given it's a synthetic benchmark that nVidia optimize their drivers for so as they can cheat.

Bahahahahahaha, another "I beleive that ATI doesn't cheat and has never cheated" person.Originally Posted by Nagisa

The 7800GTX gives a better overall result, thanks to the 24 VS 16 for X1800XT fragment pipelines and texture units.
Edit: Oh, and the immense anti-aliasing modes available compared to most ATI cards.
I never said that ATi have never cheated; you're putting words in my mouth :P
But in terms of current 3dMark, nVidia does optimize drivers and ATi doesn't. That's what I was getting at. You seem to think I've got some kind of fan bias; but I don't. It's just a simple fact that the X1800XT is faster across the board. The original drivers had flakey OpenGL (typical of ATi) but a week later they released a new revision that gave a 20%+ increase for OpenGL.
The pipeline increase proved to be less effective than just pure raw clockspeed.
Currently the only card faster than the X1800XT is the 7800 Ultra 512MB, which has the increased pipelines AND increased clockspeed.

I think you're kind of supposed to be wrong by default here, Nagisa.
