    One of those has to appeal to you, at the very least.



    Hollywood movies cost a lot more to make (per minute of footage) than anime series. Anime series are generally more in line with the average live-action TV show.

    Both are orders of magnitude more expensive to create than the average novel.
    For some reason, I always figured it would cost more that that. Hollywood movies aren't that surprising, though.

    Studio Ghibli films don't count. > =O
    I actually found Lain kind of pretentious, but it was pretty fun anyway.
    The same guy who made Hoshi no Koe made Byousoku 5cm. It was alright, but 5cm's a lot better. Cowboy Bebop's alright too but it's been ages since I've seen it, but thanks, I'll check some of those (that I haven't seen and aren't made by Key) out.
